Mount Elgon is an ancient volcanic mountain, once believed to have been one of Africa’s highest peaks. Its surrounding hillsides are home to rich forests, rivers and waterfalls, including the famous Sipi Falls, which has become a symbol of the region’s natural beauty and agricultural heritage.
The Bagisu community has cultivated coffee in the Mount Elgon region for generations, developing a deep knowledge and heritage of Arabica production.
