The Sholi Cooperative was founded in 2008 by 30 women with a shared goal of improving coffee quality and creating better opportunities for local farmers. Today, the cooperative has grown to almost 700 members, producing exceptional specialty coffee from high altitude Bourbon varietals grown between 1,800-2,000 metres.
Only the ripest cherries are handpicked before undergoing a traditional washed process. Careful fermentation, washing and drying on raised beds create a remarkably clean cup, highlighting the vibrant fruit character and sparkling acidity that Rwandan coffee is renowned for.
