Uganda Zebra is a distinctive washed coffee from Bulambuli in Eastern Uganda, where smallholder farmers grow Arabica at high altitudes on the slopes of Mount Elgon. The region’s fertile volcanic soils and cool climate create ideal conditions for producing expressive, high quality coffee.
Sourced through Ibero Uganda, this coffee carries the distinctive Zebra name, evoking one of Uganda’s most recognisable wild animals. Plains zebras are found across the country’s natural landscapes and are a familiar part of Uganda’s rich wildlife heritage.
Our Uganda Zebra brings together SL14, SL28, KP162 and KP423 varietals. Washed to reveal the clarity of the coffee, it has a medium body and bright acidity. Notes of sweet toffee, root beer, chocolate and cherry, followed by a gentle warmth of spice.
