Beneath the looming buildings of Glasgow’s old Victoria Infirmary, we first opened the door to our shop on the corner of Battlefield Road and Overdale Gardens at the beginning of 2018. Excited to be joining the Southside’s vibrant and growing coffee scene, we set out to create a bright, laid-back space where folks could enjoy some well-crafted coffee and fresh seasonal dishes with their pals.
Before that year was out, we were able to install our roaster in this shop too, allowing us to produce small batches of coffee in an intimate setting while our customers watched on.
Since then, we’ve been able to establish three more Grain and Grind locations in Glasgow, move our roaster to Inverness, and expand our coffee offering to include over twenty roasts. Each of these coffees has been selected and roasted with the careful consideration and expertise of our roaster, John, who uses traditional methods in his work to produce the perfect cup. We’re proud to work with smallholders and farming co-operatives from all over the world, many of whom are committed to ethical, organic, and sustainable methods, and most of our coffees are named after the farms and estates from which they’ve come.
