Costa Rica San Jorge is grown in Costa Rica’s picturesque Brunca region, renowned for its mountainous terrain and fertile volcanic soil—ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee. Grown at altitudes ranging from 700 to 1,100 meters above sea level. This is a blend of Catuai and Caturra varietals.
Coffee came to Costa Rica in the last decade of the eighteenth century. Over the many years, coffee expanded over the highlands of the Central Valley. The development and trading of coffee deeply influenced the cultural and socioeconomic landscape of the country.
